WHO WE ARE
Clifford was started in 1969 by Mr Clifford Sobey, in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa as a specialist machine builder in the wire and welding industry.
Over the years, Clifford has grown from a family business to a globally recognised brand.
Today, Clifford is a technology-driven company that uses the latest productivity tools and employs elements of Agile, Lean and Just in Time philosophies to streamline the design and manufacturing process. This makes a Clifford machine faster, more reliable and economical compared to the competition.

Clifford provides industrial welding, grating and wire working equipment. For over 50 years Clifford has been a leader in the resistance welding industry and won awards for innovation and engineering excellence. Clifford prides itself in designing customised machinery that is reliable, fast and economical with a global spares & support system for their customers.
TECHNOLOGY
At Clifford, we understand the importance of keeping current with new technologies and have partnered with local universities and other technology companies to try to solve real-world problems. That research and development make its way into all our new machines, ensuring we are always on the cutting edge.

NEEDS ANALYSIS
Our talented and experienced sales consultants will help you through the process of defining your needs and selecting the correct machine that fits your requirements and budget. They will also advise on your factory requirements for optimal efficiency.
DESIGN & BUILD
All our machines are custom designed by our engineering team using the latest CAD software. In this phase, we design and build to your specifications and the machine is thoroughly tested in our factory before shipping.
INSTALLATION & PRODUCTION
Our commissioning technicians will be at your factory to unpack, install and get you up and running. They will also provide onsite training and advice to get your machines running efficiently. Our machines also come with full remote support software (TeamViewer) and our technical support team is always on standby to help.
