The Clifford OPTICUT wire straightening & cutting machines are designed either as stand alone lines for the high speed production of straightened and cut wire, or for direct feed of straightened and cut wire into mesh welding machine hoppers.
These machines are robustly designed and can be supplied complete with dual driven payoff stands. The wire is fed through a series of feed wheels, a dual spinner assembly and is sheared in a high speed flying shear. The shear is designed to give a flush end cut even at maximum operating speed.
Cut length is programmed directly into the PLC, and measured using either the standard Encoder, or an optional Laser Doppler for extremely fast length changeovers. Batches are digitally controlled in predetermined sizes.
